This class which is designed by Innervate CrossFit is led by coaches who come with come with 20 years of experience in training people over 50. The studio space is designed with equipment and facilities that match the training needs of the 50+. It is also conveniently located in Serangoon for easy access. Beyond learning how to get fitter for daily living, you will get to train with a group of like-minded individuals, all seeking an active ageing lifestyle!
This Fit-for-50+ methodology gradually increases strength & resistance, helping muscles adapt and grow stronger over time without risking injury from too much strain. Functional exercises—like squats, lunges, and step-ups—target key movement patterns used in everyday life, supporting stability, balance, and joint flexibility. Adding resistance (through free weights, bands, or machines) improves muscle strength and endurance in a practical way that translates directly into real-world activities, such as lifting objects or navigating stairs. This blend of progression and functionality creates a sustainable, low-risk workout strategy, enhancing physical resilience and quality of life for the 50+
This Fit-for-50+ method combines bodyweight exercises with flexibility and mobility exercises to build foundational strength while enhancing joint health and range of motion. By using exercises like push-ups, planks, and wall sits, the 50+ can safely improve muscle endurance and balance without needing additional equipment. Adding flexibility exercises, such as gentle stretching and yoga-inspired moves, supports joint mobility and reduces stiffness, especially in commonly tight areas like the shoulders, hips, and ankles. This approach not only strengthens muscles but also helps maintain essential mobility and flexibility, making daily activities easier and reducing the risk of injury.
